Q: I’ve never done a photoshoot before. Will I feel awkward?
A: Almost everyone says this — and almost everyone forgets about the camera within the first few minutes! I guide you through the whole session with prompts, direction, and plenty of conversation, so you always know what to do. No experience needed at all.
Q: What should I wear to my portrait session?
A: Wear something that makes you feel like the best version of yourself. I always recommend bringing 2–3 outfit options, so we have variety. Avoid very busy patterns or logos as these can distract from your face. If you’re unsure, reach out before your session, and I’m happy to advise!
Q: Where do portrait sessions take place?
A: Sessions can take place at a studio, at a location of your choice, or I can suggest some of my favourite spots around Barbados — from beaches to botanical gardens to urban backdrops. The location is part of the story!
Q: How long does a session take?
A: Most portrait sessions run for 45 minutes, depending on the package. This gives us enough time to try different looks and locations without feeling rushed.
Q: How long until I receive my images?
A: You’ll receive your professionally edited images promptly. I provide them straight out of the camera within 24 -48 hours of the session for you to select your favourites. Once you’ve made your selection, I provide the images within 3 – 5 business days. I pride myself on a fast, high-quality turnaround so you’re not left waiting weeks for your photos.
Q: Can I bring a friend?
A: Absolutely! Sometimes having a familiar face on set makes all the difference. Just let me know in advance.
